What does it mean to be a worker-owner?

Last updated on 30 Oct, 2025

A worker-owner is an employee of the co-op who has decided to co-own the company with their colleagues. A prospective worker-owner must be a permanent, full-time employee at Maximum Fun. Worker-ownership is optional, so while it’s possible not all employees will be worker-owners, all worker-owners must be employees. Worker-owners will have two ways to determine the path of the company:

  1. By electing or serving on the Board of Directors

  2. By voting on important questions

And if the company does really well, worker-owners can share directly in that success.
